As the main B\u00f6n monastery in Tibet, Nangzhig gathers monks from all over the country, and is the main source of monastic education for B\u00f6npos in Tibet. Its support by the international community is essential for its continuance in the contemporary world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Due to the faltering economic situation in the region coupled with the increasing number of monks at Nangzhig, the local community is no longer able to fully support the monastic community as they have done in the past. It has therefore become imperative that the international B\u00f6npo communities fill this gap in support by subsidizing the purchase of food, medicine and clothing for Nangzhig\u2019s expanding monastic community.
