The Chaphur Rinpoche Foundation is a non-profit organisation which aims to disseminate and preserve the ancient Tibetan Bön tradition by engaging Polish citizens in the cause of Bönpo monastic community development. As the main Bön monastery in Tibet, Nangzhig gathers monks from all over the country, and is the main source of monastic education for Bönpos in Tibet. Its support by the international community is essential for its continuance in the contemporary world.

Due to the faltering economic situation in the region coupled with the increasing number of monks at Nangzhig, the local community is no longer able to fully support the monastic community as they have done in the past. It has therefore become imperative that the international Bönpo communities fill this gap in support by subsidizing the purchase of food, medicine and clothing for Nangzhig’s expanding monastic community. Chaphur Rinpoche together with Bön practitioners and sponsors has made a personal commitment to provide funds for purchasing these necessities over the next three years.
